Paul Denning praised "Randy‘s courageous performance, especially in the second race. He really wasn’t fit to ride a motorcycle so to finish seventh with so much pain and discomfort is a superb effort.".

“Did you think you bruised your butt before?” Denning asks, posting a photo of Randy de Puniet’s ass on Twitter. "With more broken ribs, he still finished 7th in race 2. Rude fellow …", admires the team manager.

"It was a horrible Sunday for me," confirms Randy de Puniet. “I was in tremendous pain and it was a disaster. After six laps I couldn’t ride anymore because I had pain all over the place, as well as a forearm problem that prevented me from braking or accelerating. I tried to position myself well – I think I was ninth and should have been able to finish tenth – but unfortunately Camier hit me, I shot straight and I finished 17th, so I am a little disappointed".
