XT 500 look for the XSR

Yamaha presented the XSR 700 XTribute at EICMA in Milan. As the name suggests, the XTribute is reminiscent of the look of the legendary XT 500.

Noted over 40 years ago Yamaha presents the no-frills Enduro XT 500 with an equally simple design. This legendary look is now to be revived with the XSR 700 special model XTribute.

Color like the XT500

The new color of the XSR 700 therefore appropriately bears the name "nineteen eighty one" celebrating the golden era of the XT. The new style includes a black engine and a silver fuel tank, gold wheels and white fenders, among other things. The retro theme is also reflected in the digital instruments with a black background, black frame guards and radiator covers, and black handlebar levers and black instrument mounts.

In addition to the XT color scheme, the XSR 700 XTribute has butted handlebars in dirt bike style and sturdy footrests in off-road style.

Studded tires for the XSR 700

Coarse-tread Pirelli MT60RS tires measuring 120 / 70-17 at the front and 180 / 55-17 at the rear are mounted on the lightweight 10-spoke cast wheels. There is also a new bench with a flat profile that reflects the design of the original XT. The black bellows on the telescopic fork and the black plastic plugs in the fork tubes are also clear reviews.

For the XSR 700 XTriubute, Yamaha also offers an optional black Akrapovic exhaust system. The special model is rounded off by the XSR 700 XTribute logos on the tank and seat.

The new XSR 700 XTribute will be available from dealers from April 2019. A price has not yet been named.
