As is so often the case: It started with fun and suddenly became a business model. Yoshimura competed in the Hillclimb race with a converted Honda Grom as part of the Barber Smallbore Event in 2021. In addition to the hill climb shovel tires in the swing arm, the highlight was the elevated 1-in-2 titanium system next to the rear of the 125cc. And of course the infernal sound of the racing system.

Due to the strong response from the public and many inquiries, Yoshimura is now offering this racing system in a limited edition. On request, 50 to 100 complete systems are to be produced for the Honda Grom. The system is completely TIG welded from titanium, the logos are lasered and the heat shields as well as the end caps are made of carbon. Yoshimura is silent about an exact weight saving or even an increase in performance. But not when it comes to the price: the small concert system will cost $ 1,499. Fun fact: a new Honda Grom costs the US $ 3,399.

Conclusion

An exhaust system for almost half the new price of the sound-producing moped. You can do it. In the case of the Yoshimura titanium system for the Honda Grom, the crazy idea arose during a fun competition. More of it, please, just a little cheaper.
