Replica helmet of the superbike world champion
In 2019, Jonathan Rea won his fifth consecutive Superbike World Championship. Helmet manufacturer Arai is now honoring the title holder with a special replica helmet in a gold look.

The Jonathan Rea-Gold Edition is based on the Arai RX-7V helmet, which has been upgraded by designer Aldo Drudi with a strong gold-colored design. Based on the fifth title win, the Gold Edition has a black lacquer “5” on the back of the head. The flanks are set off with a black and gray pattern. A golden pattern stretches across the middle of the helmet from the chin section to the back of the head.

Rea will be the Gold Edition helmet from Arai However, do not wear it for racing in the 2020 season. The special helmet will protect the head of the world champion during various test, training and qualifying sessions. The first use is planned for the Jerez test drives in January 2020.
Jonathan Rea fans unfortunately have to wait until mid-May 2020 before they can pull the Gold Edition over their heads. Before that, the helmet will not be available in specialist shops. The Japanese call for a price of 999 euros. It is not offered in Germany.
