Motorsport without fans is like the Eifel without the Nurburgring. When the ADAC Truck Grand Prix and the IDM premier class – the Superbike 1000 – start on the ring on July 17 and 18, 2021, spectators are also very welcome. Since there are still restrictions in the overall program, the entrance fees for the mega event with trucks and motorcycles have been almost halved.

The Rhineland-Palatinate state government recently named the Nurburgring as a model project for outdoor events with spectators. The contactless hygiene concept for spectators developed by the Nurburgring enables a safe live experience in the open grandstands. This concept also applies on the third weekend in July.

FIA European Championship with 20 trucks

The focus of the sporting part at the Nurburgring is on the races for the FIA European Championship. 20 trucks with up to 1,500 hp drive for points. A highlight in the program are the two championship races of the IDM Superbike 1000. The motorcycles have over 200 HP and drivers from all over Europe are fighting for the title. The performance density is enormous and the championship this season is more open than it has been for a long time. Before the two races at the ADAC Truck Grand Prix, the Swiss Dominic Schmitter on a Yamaha leads the French Valentin Debise on a Kawasaki. Behind them, Bastien Mackels (BEL) and Vladimir Leonov (RUS), two experienced Yamaha riders are waiting for their chance. Behind them is IDM Supersport 600 champion Luca Grunwald (Waldkraiburg) as the fastest BMW driver. For his GP-experienced team Kiefer Racing from Bad Kreuznach, the start at the Nurburgring is the home game. The top seven of the IDM premier class also includes the Italian Alex Polita on a Honda.

Ten drivers alone are eligible for race wins. The first IDM run will take place on Saturday at 5:05 p.m. The second starts on Sunday at 2:20 p.m.. “After the successful premiere in the 2019 season, the IDM Superbikes are now taking part in the Truck Grand Prix for the second time, which we as promoters are very happy about”, says Bert Brandenburg, Head of Events and Events at Motor Presse Stuttgart

Ticket prices reduced by around 50 percent

The tickets now cost between 20.00 and 45.00 euros. All tickets are personalized, assigned to the exact seat and are only available online in the ticket shop at www.nuerburgring.de available.
