Kawasaki wants to produce various spare parts for its own brand’s classics. The start is made by cylinder heads for the legendary Z1.

Kawasaki reflects on its past and wants to focus more on classics from its own history. The Japanese want to produce selected spare parts for certain models, report Japanese media.

Internet sales planned

Want to kick off Kawasaki Reproduce cylinder heads for the legendary Z1 and Z2 engines. The cylinder heads should be manufactured with modern materials and on modern machines. Initially, an edition of 1,000 copies is planned. If necessary, however, this should be increased. Sales are initially restricted to the Japanese market.

From autumn 2019, Kawasaki will also be producing other popular spare parts. In addition, these are to be sold on a specially created website. If there is a corresponding international demand, an export should then also be made possible.
