That KTM KTM boss Stefan Pierer said earlier that he will be involved in MotoGP in the long term. Now it is official. The Austrians hang on for at least another five years and drive in the highest motorcycle racing class until 2026. A corresponding contract with the MotoGP promoter Dorna has now been signed. In the past season, KTM was able to record its first three victories in the premier class. In the manufacturers’ championship, the orange ones came fourth.
“I am very pleased to announce this new five-year contract with Dorna. I would like to take this opportunity to especially thank Dorna and Mr Carmelo Ezpeleta and his entire team, because we have already had four great years together and they are a really professional partner in this important sport. After just a few seasons, we have put this project on a very solid footing, so it is a positive step to continue our MotoGP commitment until 2026”, comments KTM motorsport director Pit Beirer on the contract extension.

“We are very satisfied with the contract extension with KTM because they are not only great partners, but have also chosen the MotoGP World Championship platform as a marketing tool that they consider ideal for their products. This is not only good for the World Cup, but also for our sport. Thank you for this commitment. This contract extension is the addition after a monumental season with three GP victories in the MotoGP class, which prove their achievements in the most demanding motorcycle racing class”, adds Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta.
