the Yamaha Tracer 700 represents a new model based on proven concepts (namely the Tracer 900, formerly MT-09 Tracer) and with the proven components of the Yamaha MT-07. The all-round tourer relies on the well-known 689 cm³ in-line two-cylinder engine with a 270 degree crank pin offset . 68 Newton meters at 6500 / min and 55 kW (75 PS) at 9000 / min do not sound like a world revolution, but thanks to a clever translation, they already have the feeling of in the MT-07 “You don’t really need more” let arise.

The Yamaha Tracer 700 has a 5 centimeter longer swing arm than the basic naked bike and thus has a wheelbase of 1450 millimeters. The spring travel is 130 millimeters at the front and rear. The tank volume grew to 17 liters. Yamaha specifies the weight of the Tracer 700 as 196 kilograms; The four hundredweight mark is thus undercut.
The Yamaha Tracer 700 comes with a height-adjustable windshield, hand protectors with integrated indicators and a one-piece, stepped bench (seat height: 835 mm) as standard. Side pockets, top case and a larger windshield are available as accessories.
The Yamaha Tracer 700 is available in red, black and blue; it will be available from dealers from July 2016. Its price should be 7,895 euros (plus ancillary costs), which is 1,500 euros more than the MT-07 and 1,800 euros less than the Tracer 900 currently costs.
