Why look into the distance …? Of course, you can also ride a motorcycle in Germany. But for many motorcycle travelers, exotic flair only emerges outside of their home country. We would like to recommend our ten favorite areas in this world to all those who want to smell the scent of the wide world.

Not all top destinations are far away for us. The Alps or, for example, Sardinia and Corsica are unique two-wheeler paradises, as bikers around the world agree. Or Scotland and Ireland. Often underestimated, but good for special travel experiences. Any rainy periods are made up for by picture book landscapes, quaint pubs, cool streets and bizarre people.

The coastal roads and national parks in California, the dream landscapes of Nevada and Arizona and other parks are without a doubt unique. Just like Morocco and the Sahara. Or those areas in South America that can be discovered from the Panamericana. New Zealand, especially the South Island, is one of them – and definitely the possible routes through the Himalayas. The wilderness of Alaska is completely different, but in a class of its own.

We know that there are far more top destinations around the world than these ten. That our selection cannot meet every taste. We chose these regions because they are relatively safe and easy to travel to and not too difficult to get to. They are also part of the programs offered by providers of organized motorcycle tours. And are therefore worth considering for those readers who have little time and do not want to organize the big trip themselves.
