Electric-powered escort motorcycle for Putin
Russian President Putin is developing an entire fleet of vehicles under the Aurus label. Obviously an electric companion bike too.
W.Ladimir Putin has his state vehicle fleet upgraded with nationally manufactured and developed models. After the state limousine Aurus Senat, the Van Aurus Arsenal and the upcoming SUV Aurus Komendant, the fleet of accompanying motorcycles will also be renewed for official appearances.
Patent drawings for a new, all-electric companion motorcycle have now appeared in Russia. This also runs under the Aurus label, but has no special name – just the name "Escort", which it identifies for the escort service.
Modern tourer with 150 hp
The data and facts about the bike are extremely thin. What is clear is that it is purely electrically powered – the battery packs under the cover are clearly visible. The electric motor is awarded a good 150 hp. The top speed is an optimistic 250 km / h. For a companion motorcycle, this value is not particularly relevant anyway.
The patent pictures show a generously disguised bike with a high, adjustable window. The final drive takes place via a toothed belt. The electric motor sits in an aluminum bridge cast frame. The rear swing arm also seems to be made of aluminum. It is supported by a central spring strut. The front fork also seems to work with a central spring strut according to the Hossack principle. The driver sits in a deep hollow on a wide bench seat and grabs a wide, cranked handlebar. Suitcases hang on the stern. Disc brakes on both wheels are used to decelerate. The gear train looks like a modern 17 inch.
