As with its sisters, the 1200 GS Exclusive benefits from a few additional options in 2018. Technology enthusiasts will happily welcome the new “Connectivity” cockpit. A beautiful digital display with many graphics and colors for a richer visual experience of information. To the catalog are added the emergency call system and new additional LED lights. Thus, no noticeable changes for a machine refreshed recently.

After the big evolutions that the 1200 GS underwent in 2013 (partially liquid cooling, integrated gearbox, largely reinforced electronics, increased power), it was not urgent to undergo major modifications. However, to meet the standards, some tweaking was necessary. In addition to a revised injection and exhaust system, the most famous of the trails polishes some cosmetic points and is available in three versions.

For the more adventurous, there is a Rally version … which can only be truly appreciated by drawing on the options catalog. And the Exclusive version, more staid, distinguished by points of detail, sprinkling a higher refinement.
The R 1200 GS Exclusive is first and foremost a specific color, completed with a large logo painted on the fuel tank. As on the Rally, the radiator covers are made of stainless steel. Gray frame, black driveline and gold brake calipers want to enhance the look.

The Exclusive is more a specific decoration than a level of finish. No additional options or real differences. Anyway, you will inevitably be tempted to ogle the side of the packs, to discover the Pro Piloting Modes, hill start aid, the ESA Dynamic Next Generation piloted suspension with leveling, the Pro Shifter, the system. keyless, etc … or just the essentials with a pair of suitcases and heated handles.
