New CEO at Harley France
Jean-Luc Mars, 37, has just joined the French subsidiary of Harley-Davidson as Managing Director. He replaces Berry Van Gestel.
Jean-Luc Mars, 37, has just joined the French subsidiary of Harley-Davidson as general manager, announces the American manufacturer in a press release.
A graduate in electronic engineering, Jean-Luc Mars joined Harley in 1990 in the after-sales service of the German subsidiary. He then held the post of after-sales service director within the French subsidiary and then became commercial director of Buell France..
Then, still within Harley-Davidson France, Jean-Luc Mars combines the functions of district manager responsible for the Paris region and director of operations..
In 1999 he moved to the United States where he became marketing and development manager for new products, first for Buell then for the Softail range from 2002. He will take advantage of this stay to obtain an MBA at the University of Marquette in Milwaukee. He replaces Berry Van Gestel, who is leaving the subsidiary after a 7-year cooperation..
