Ducati WSBK Team 2021
Finally get the title again
Ducati is sending its works team with a new pair of drivers into the fight for the title in the Superbike World Championship in 2021. And nothing else is the declared goal of the Italians.
March 31, 2021
With the presentation of the drivers and the two Ducati The Ducati Superbike works team is starting the 2021 World Superbike season with Panigale V4 R machines.
For the Aruba.it Racing-Ducati-Team, Scott Redding and Michael Ruben Rinaldi grip the handlebars. The Brit Redding is tackling his second season for the works team. Rinaldi has made the climb from the Go Eleven satellite to the factory team and thus contested the place for Chaz Davies.
Redding started the 2020 season with the clear goal of being crowned world champion at the end of the season. In the end, however, he had to be satisfied with second place behind permanent world champion Jonathan Rea on Kawasaki. Chaz Davies finished the season in third place.
Redding wants to be world champion
2021 should now succeed what failed in 2020. Ducati is to provide the new world champion with Scott Redding, explains team boss Stefano Cecconi. Rinaldi should get used to the factory team and gain experience. He would like to add at least one more to his first win from last year. “We have high expectations of our drivers”, clarifies Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali.
The Panigale V4R, which has been in use since 2019, only has detailed changes for the 2021 season. After the stable performances from the previous year, the Panigale should be ready for the world title in 2021. There are hardly any changes in appearance. The V4 models continue to have the look of the main sponsor Aruba. The IT company has been determining the appearance of the Italians since 2015.
Ducati has a clear goal for 2021: They want to finally beat Kawasaki and become the world champion with Scott Redding. He gets help from Michael Ruben Rinaldi, who has ousted popular Chaz Davies from the team.
