The Battle of the Kings custom bike competition is entering its final round in 2020. Harley-Davidson will not continue the competition in the future. Before the custom contest retires, Harley fans could choose the winner for 2020 until March 31. There were 15 conversions to choose from, of which only one bike could emerge as a glorious winner. Various Harleys such as the Forty Eight or 1200 Custom were available as basic bikes. The winner has also been announced in the meantime. Victory in the last Battle of the Kings went to the Harley-Davidson Apex Predator, which was put on wheels by Oscar Peralta of Queretaro from Mexico and is based on the Sportster XR 1200. The bike of the German dealer Thunderbike Harley-Davidson Niederrhein was also honored and received an award from the HD styling team. 222 international dealers participated in the fourth edition of the "Battle of the Kings" from Harley-Davidson involved. The competition was announced for the first time worldwide in 2018. The aim was to convert certain models into one that was as spectacular as possible, but still eligible for a budget of 6,000 euros maximum. The models Iron 883, Forty-Eight, Roadster, Street 750, Street Rod, Fat Bob and Street Bob were available as a basis.

In Germany the "Speedster" won by Harley-Davidson Pfeiffer.

In recent years, Harley dealers have also been able to show what is possible in terms of Harley tuning at the Battle of the Kings custom competition. While dealers can choose from a total of seven different models in 2018, the tuners in 2017 still had to make do with the three models Iron 883, Forty-Eight and Roadster as the basis.

A total of 236 custom bikes were entered in the 2017 competition. A custom bike from each country was then chosen, which had the chance to be chosen as the best Harley custom bike of the year at EICMA 2017 in Milan.

In the end, the Italian dealer Harley-Davidson Perugia won the race with the so-called "Bomb track", which was built on the basis of a Harley-Davidson XL 1200 XC Roadster. It became the most beautiful bike from a German Harley dealer "Speedster" selected by Harley-Davidson Pfeiffer.
