As it approaches its 30th birthday, the Honda CG is getting a little makeover. Cool makeover, electric starter, increased tank capacity, front disc brake and cleaner engine. The new instrumentation is more complete, offering in particular a fuel gauge, and the practical aspects more abundant. With a center stand, some storage, good passenger grab handles and sturdy tie-down hooks, the CG heals its utility art. Not shy, the little Honda surrenders to its driver without restraint and in an instinctive way. Very easy driving, good driver position, excellent maneuverability and turning radius, smooth controls and voluntary engine; There is no denying it, the CG is a small queen of the cities. The mill is reliable, not very greedy, and its performance is quite well suited to the presence of a passenger. Where this 125 marks time, it is at the level of the front axle. With a disc replacing the old drum, braking has improved a lot on this new generation. So much so that the fork has trouble coping with the deceleration. When it reaches the stop, it pushes the front tire to the limit of its capabilities.
Prettier, better equipped, always hardworking and hardworking, the new Honda CG 125 remains true to its reputation. It holds up, provides good comfort and remains economical in use. However, the game is not won for her. A formidable competitor appears on the market: the Yamaha YBR 125.
