KTM 390 Scrambler and 390 Adventure
Expansion of the model range

The KTM 390 single faces new challenges. When the time will come remains to be seen at first, but the modular system leaves many options. Well, maybe except for a super tourer …

Action on all fronts: There is no other way to describe what is happening in Mattighofen. In addition to the new twin series, the expansion of the 390 single-cylinder model range continues. The latest addition: a kind of scrambler and – of course – an adventure. But first to the Scrambler – or whatever you want to call this 390 with longer, but not long suspension travel, with a (presumably) 19-inch front wheel and high front fender.

After all: As KTM This mix of styles can be clearly identified with a wire spoke and a cast wheel. It is also clear that the now busy little single acts as a drive with its fast 44 hp. This engine now powers a naked bike (390 Duke), an athlete (RC 390) and, in addition to the scrambler, will soon also be an adventure variant that is currently undergoing secret test drives around Mattighofen. One thing is clear: the little Adventure looks like the face of its big sister, but does without its idiosyncratic tank solution and instead allows an unobstructed view of the engine. Both models should fuel the success of the series in the long term, and it will be interesting to see what the Austrians will think of on this subject.
