With its Hymec system, accessory supplier Magura can now convert even more models from cable to hydraulic couplings. Including popular machines from Honda, KTM and Yamaha.

Many motorcycles are still equipped with clutch actuation via a cable. This saves weight, construction costs and is inexpensive. Accessory supplier Magura offers conversion kits for hydraulic clutch actuation with its Hymec complete systems.

A special hydraulic transmission ratio should reduce the manual forces required on the clutch lever. In addition, the hydraulic system should offer a constant pressure point even under heavy loads (e.g. in off-road use). Mineral oil is used as the hydraulic medium. It should not be necessary to bleed or replace the hydraulic fluid over the entire service life.

The Hymec complete kits are available for many motorcycle models. An individual configuration is possible for all other models. The extended range for 2020 includes kits for the Honda CRF1000 L Africa Twin (from model year 2016), the new KTM 790 Adventure (from model year 2019), the Yamaha MT-07, the Yamaha MT-09 and the KTM 790 Duke. Variants for the Yamaha Tenere 700 will follow in the course of the year.

The prices for the new complete kits start from 339 euros. The cultivation should also be possible for laypeople. Magura also offers various how-to videos on this. According to Magura and TuV-Sud, registration is not necessary
