Positive March for the entire market
The month of March 2014 was mild and good: mild because temperatures have frequently exceeded 20 ° C, and good … for sellers of motorcycles (scooters and motorcycles of 125 cc and more), with 14,877 registrations recorded in France.
Compared to, this total monthly registrations increased by + 12.3%: enough to put a smile on the faces of professionals who suffered a severe -28.9% twelve months ago (read our).
This year, spring arrived at the beginning of March and has hardly left us since. Nothing to do with the gloomy and demoralizing weather – especially for bikers and their dealers – at the start of 2013 !

Fortunately, the strengths of 125 cc scooters and motorcycles in urban areas (low consumption, fluidity of traffic, minimal footprint, ease of parking, etc.) do not go unnoticed by some of our fellow citizens: in March, they were 3,916 to acquire a brand new small displacement.
In the depths of the chasm in, the 125 market got its head back in March 2014 (+ 13.1%). The top ten manufacturers in the sector are all in green: "light" green for Yamaha, Piaggio, Kymco and KTM, and "darker" green for Honda, Peugeot, MBK … and Mash !
In large-displacement models, only one brand misses the mark: Honda, in the purple on the MNC control screens, with a drop of -12.4%. Yamaha also stands out, but thanks to an impressive increase of + 56.1% !
The other members of the Top 10 among the "over 125 cc" also saw their sales increase, to such an extent that the whole of this sector closed this third month 2014 at + 12.1%.
