Two short years of absence and the Corsaro Veloce made its comeback. A spicy version of Morini’s already screwed up roadster, the Veloce came back with almost the same arguments: a boiling 140 horsepower twin capped by a fiery character, very vindictive plastic, and all the improvements that set it apart from the standard Corsaro.. Namely a Marzocchi fork with more settings, Brembo gold series brakes, repositioned footrests and a selector with reduced travel. The brake and clutch master cylinders are radial. Two only elements really distinguish this phoenix: the first is symbolic, because half a mkg of torque less, that will not change much. The other argument is unstoppable: this muscular roadster displays a price under 12,000 euros. FYI, it used to be traded only with a slate of 14,500 euros.
How could Morini drop the price so much?!? Part of the explanation comes from the less noble equipment: the Ohlins shock absorber has given way to a Sachs and the Termignoni silencers have disappeared. We can console ourselves with the wide range of colors that the manufacturer offers by ordering the Corsaro (be careful, the note inflates quite quickly). With 17 colors for the trim, 4 for the frame, and 3 for the engine, the Corsaro Veloce offers more than 200 combinations of decorations. All we can fault it is for not offering electronic assistance, either as standard or as an option. But do they really have a place here ?
Some improvements for 2013: a more ergonomic saddle, a new tension regulator, a better quality paint, a new handlebars, redesigned mirrors, and an anti-slip clutch reducing the effort at the left lever by 50%.
