The Corsaro 1200 Veloce receives good for 2014, and at least nice for the wallet. Between two vintages, Morini’s boiling machine takes no less than 4000 euros. It hurts, and the superb price advantage disappears. Because on its return after two years of absence, the Corsaro had certainly lost a few feathers, but it was one of the cheapest severely burned roadsters on the market.. A spicy version of Morini’s already screwed up roadster, the standard Corsaro, the Veloce came back with almost the same arguments: a fiery twin, very vindictive plastic, and all the improvements that set it apart from the base version. Namely a Marzocchi fork with more settings, Brembo gold series brakes, repositioned footrests and a selector with reduced travel. The brake and clutch master cylinders are radial.
When it was reborn, the Corsaro Veloce lost the Ohlins shock absorber and the Termignoni silencers disappeared. 2014 allows the return of Italian exhausts as a free option. Some carbon parts appear, which can be painted at the customer’s choice.
The twin RS14 benefits from a new mapping and a duo of lambda probes. It consumes less, pollutes less … and watts less. This small evolution makes him lose 5 horses. Well, there are still 135 cannons and a beefy 12.4 mkg in the bowls. Note that the rear tire goes down from 190 to 180 mm wide.
To stand out a little more, the bike offers a wide range of colors that the manufacturer offers when ordering the Corsaro (be careful, the note inflates quite quickly). With 16 colors for the trim, 4 for the frame, and 3 for the engine, the Corsaro Veloce offers 192 combinations of decorations. All we can fault it is for not offering electronic assistance, either as standard or as an option. But do they really have a place here ?
Some improvements took place in 2013: a more ergonomic saddle, a new tension regulator, a better quality paint, a new handlebars, redesigned mirrors, and an anti-slip clutch reducing the effort on the left lever by 50%..
