Honda CRF 250 Rally / L (2017)
World travel flair and gravel roads
The Honda CRF 250 Rally complements the brand off-road range for the new season. It is based on the Honda CRF 250 L, which has been subtly revised for the 2017 model year.
M.ith the gravel shortcut to the neighboring village, the Honda CRF 250 Rally is not satisfied: It exudes the aura of wilderness, deserts and world travel. Although it relies on the same technical basis as its moderate sister Honda CRF 250 L for frame, motor and wheels, 25 millimeters more suspension travel on the rear wheel and, as a result, a seat 20 millimeters higher make its ambitions more than clear.
The design of the Honda CRF 250 Rally is based on the 450 cc factory machine with which the HRC team competed in the Dakar rally. All fairing parts from the windshield to the radiator cowling should give the driver maximum protection and keep his stamina and concentration on long stages.
10.1 liter tank volume, of which 1.5 liter reserve
To increase braking safety, the Honda CRF 250 Rally uses the same two-channel ABS as the current Africa Twin; it can be switched off on the rear wheel for serious off-road use. The asymmetrical headlights and all indicators rely on LED lighting technology.
10.1 liters of tank volume, 1.5 liters of which is designed as a reserve, should be enough for the economical 250 for over 320 kilometers. It goes without saying that the single cylinder is homologated according to Euro4 specifications. The standard version of the Honda CRF 250 L also benefits in the new model year from the Africa-Twin-tested two-channel ABS and from the homologation according to Euro4. Its reduced fairing makes it significantly more compact than its rally sister; However, in terms of the key data, the two models are identical.
