Apart from the prototype of the new engine, one, and the, the Yamaha stand at the EICMA show in Milan is not overflowing with 2013 novelties. But there is one that attracts visitors by the dozen: the spectacular Tmax Hyper Modified dirt track style, concocted by the American Roland Sands ! 

It is true that if the preparations made by and could leave it to be desired in terms of creativity and originality, the work (yes, sir: the work!) By Sands has something to satisfy the most demanding !

Completely deserving of its name "Hyper Modified", this Tmax gives pride of place to noble materials (quality of the leather saddle, finish of the devilish exhausts …) and plays the card of minimalism. The Californian designer has removed all the superfluous in order to highlight the aluminum chassis of the star of sports maxi-scooters: it’s just beautiful !

The fruit of four weeks of hard work, it features a front fender built from that of an R6, grids through which we can see the nervous twin, a cross handlebars and a number plate with a mini headlight as a ‘optical.
