Yamaha took advantage this weekend of the show, an event bringing together the cream of European preparers, to present several of its custom Yard Built motorcycles. Featured, the all-new XJR1300 Skullmonkee just completed by Danish inspired Wrenchmonkees.

Designed on the basis of the XJR1300 (read our), this Skullmonkee fully coated with shiny black paint fully plays the retro card with its yellow headlight, its enveloping padded saddle and its very narrow half-handlebars, cafe racer style.

In detail, this sober and uncluttered preparation is also distinguished by its batch of beautiful parts, starting with its aluminum triple trees, its grooved casing protections and its braking entirely provided by the French Beringer (discs, calipers and master- cylinder).

Note also its Ohlins TTX36 shock absorbers, its impressive steering damper, its minimalist LED rear light and its conical stainless steel mufflers produced jointly by Wrenchmonkees and Spark.

A very nice achievement that owners of XJR1300 can reproduce by ordering the parts from the preparer in Copenhagen – or by entrusting them directly with their motorcycle, as desired, according to their means and their ability to correctly handle the key of 12. !

The next Bike Shed stop will be held on May 23 and 24 in London. Yamaha will still be in the game and is sure to unveil new Yard Built creations: stay tuned !
