Site offers a selection of these salivating, surprising or crazy machines that you should not miss at the EICMA motorbike show in Milan 2012.

Agility Saietta: when the electric goes out…

Designed by the London manufacturer Agility, this improbable two-wheeler is an electric motorcycle described as totally "unique". Unique, it is indeed by its incredible lines! Its batteries take place inside its monocoque carbon frame, a complex and expensive process derived from competition. Capable of going from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.6 km (4.1 sec for the R version), the Saietta S would have a range of 94 km (120 km for the R). Advertised prices: between € 12,407 (S) and € 17,382 (R).

Akrapovic Morsus Custom: impossible to escape !

Exhibited from show to show since spring 2011, this incredible concept bike is the work of Akrapovic, in collaboration with the preparer Dreamachine Motorcycle. The objective of this Morsus is to show that the talents of the Slovenian exhaust manufacturer can be applied to motorcycles other than sports or roadsters. Thus, its presence on the Akrapovic stand can be considered as a kind of foil for its recent range of "Custom Program" exhausts adaptable to Harley-Davidson. This Morsus gives pride of place to the "noble" materials favored by Akrapovic (titanium and carbon), while its 1852 cc V-twin comes from the American S&S. Admire the purity of the line…

BMW R1200R Metisse Classic Racer: Deutsch qualitat

Installed in hall 6 at EICMA Milan 2012, their large stand showcased a magnificent Cafe racer preparation based on the BMW R1200R. All of the additional trim (fork crown, rear shell) is made of carbon, as are the protections installed on the tank and on the Boxer’s cylinders. The preparation also includes leather upholstery, flat handlebars and a minimalist round tail light. Interested? CRP Energica: the sports bike full of watts !

Dubbed by the Italian Minister of the Environment, Corrado Clini, during his visit to EICMA 2012, the Energica is the first electric Superbike built in Italy. Designed by the CRP group, a manufacturer specializing in motorsports based in Modena, this enticing prototype capable of reaching 220 km / h has taken part in several electric competitions over the past two years, such as the TTXGP. A version approved for the road would be on track: stay tuned !

Husqvarna concept Baja: the ideas, but not the oil ?

As at every show (or almost), Husqvarna exhibited a new concept in Milan. Named "Baja", it is strongly inspired by the one presented last year in these same halls, although it seems more successful. Thus, the replacement of the number plate by a round headlight and the addition of indicators even suggest that this great initiative could materialize. It remains to convince BMW, the owner of HVA and supplier of the 650cc single cylinder of this Baja, to follow up on the project

Kawasaki concept Z1000 retro: Oh, the (very) beautiful Green !

Kawasaki presented all of its 2013 novelties (, and) in Cologne, but did not neglect visitors to Milan: the Greens exhibited at EICMA a magnificent retro concept in homage to. Made from the last Z1000, this proto mixes styles of the past (round headlight, flat saddle, long teardrop tank) with technical solutions of the present (engine, instrumentation, chassis and wheels of the Zed 2012). A few chrome touches (fork, exhausts, frame), as well as the displacement of the radiator under the rear loop – just in front of the shock absorber – complete this superb transformation. A very nice tribute which could overshadow a certain one, if Kawa were to decide to transform the test …

Over Brutus: that’s brutal !

Take a 750 cc engine with automatic CVT transmission, put it in a beam frame and dress it all up with quad wheels: you get the Brutus, an improbable mix of genres seen on the stand of the Italian distributor Pelpi International! Described as an SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) that it would be possible to accessorize at will, this "machine" will be marketed in "spring 2013", says its manufacturer (Over). We can’t wait to try …

Triumph Bonneville by Zard: the "Bonnie" turns up the volume !

To highlight its new range of adaptable exhausts, Zard exhibited a nicely "scrambler-ized" Triumph Bonneville (brown leather saddle, studded tires, retro paint). Taking pride of place on the stand, this "Bonnie" was naturally equipped with a complete approved line designed by the Italian manufacturer. Beautiful work, certainly.

Yamaha XJ6 Cage-Six: a stunning concept !

Already seen at the Intermot in Cologne, the Yamaha XJ6 Cage-Six is a "ready-to-stunt" concept developed by Yamaha on the basis of the XJ6. This bike is equipped with all the accessories to make wheelies, stops and whatnot: a huge crown, a rear thumb brake control, protections around the "4-legs" and in front of the handles, as well as a plate installed on the rear shell to be rubbed once the bike is placed vertically … We also note the presence of petal discs, a flat handlebar and reinforced brake hoses. The original instrumentation gives way to an MTB type meter. Like the concept, this concept has a priori little chance of knowing a commercial reality.

Zaeta DT 530: the "Made in Italy" dirt track

Presented as "the only Dirt Track motorcycle meeting Euro 3 standards", the DT 530 is a magnificent realization made by hand and on demand by the small Italian manufacturer Zaeta. Frame, swing arm are homemade and the rare exterior services are entrusted to local craftsmen. Its 530 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder TM would develop 50 hp, while its weight would be only 115 kg with the refueling: sure that it has to run this Dirt in the ritual sauce. !
