Zeros stolen, Indians left standing
Motorcycle thieves stole unusual prey in a break-in. They stole electric motorcycles and abandoned combustion engines. Trader puzzles: coincidence or intent?

They came through the office window. According to the Ingolstadt police, the break-in happened in the night from Sunday to Monday, November 13th. Thieves pried open a window in the business premises of “Iwan Bikes” (Indian, Zero, Energica) in Pfaffenhofen (Bavaria), got in, and then pushed a yellow one zero S and a black Zero FXS through the opened shop door to the outside, presumably into a van.
What puzzles the dealer Bernhard Peintner: “Why did you take the two electric motorcycles with you, but left a number of high-quality Indians behind?”
Either they didn’t know what they were doing, or “Zeros are so popular that they are already being stolen,” says the dealer. Two Indian flip-up helmets, two women’s leather jackets and change from the cash register have also disappeared. Luck for the dealer: the property damage to the building is minimal.
