Sport-GT? Trail-athletic? This machine plays on several tables. Whatever it is, it’s time to reposition it on the high end. This is why the standard version has been recalibrated to Rosso, which is more modest. Tourism and trail MV-Agusta style is more like a story of sport, passion and the road. The 800 Turismo Veloce exudes impatience, its design draws aside the pupil with envy, its engine is adrenaline-pumped and its electronics are worthy of the brand’s sports cars. This luxury version (Lusso in Italian) pushes refinement into the other dimension of travel.
It is easily recognized by its pair of elegant suitcases, with a total capacity of 60 liters. Note that their shapes blend smoothly into the general line of the 800 Turismo Veloce..
Even richer in electronics and equipment, the Lusso includes GPS, heated grips, and semi-active “Skyhook” type suspensions. Damping very close to that offered on the Ducati Multistrada S. The equipment manufacturer Sachs has developed this technology which allows suspensions to “read” the road and to adapt the settings accordingly. The system acts continuously on the hydraulic adjustments by working in concert with the MVICS 2.0 on-board electronics.

The 110 horsepower of the three-cylinder will have no trouble playing with this machine. The 800 TC has recently benefited from the improvements inherent in the switch to Euro4. The injection has been redesigned and several technical parts of the engine are revised or new: cylinder head, valve guides, timing tensioner, gearbox gears, starter, balance shaft and frame fixings. The TV lost a bit of torque in the operation, but nothing crippling.
Tech fans will appreciate its advanced electronics, the 800 Turismo Veloce housing the MVICS 2.0 platform. Behind this code name hides a plume of driving aids. Three driving modes (Touring, Sport, rain) + one customizable – the setting possibilities are worthy of the Gran Turismo game. Throttle sensitivity, traction control, torque curve, power, engine braking and grinder liveliness can be adjusted to a number of defined levels. The bike is also equipped with an anti-wheeling system, cruise control, and the second generation of EAS shifter. This allows you to go up but also down gears without touching the clutch..
An MV frame bears a signature: two aluminum pieces attached to a steel trellis frame. Very similar to that of the Rivale, its structure is a little wider and the plates are modified to accommodate a center stand. With 160mm of travel, the suspensions are supplied by Marzocchi for the 43mm inverted fork and Sachs for the shock. Brembo takes care of the braking and it’s serious without being hypersport. Radial mounting, 4 pistons per caliper and 320 mm discs at the front; 220 mm disc and double piston caliper for the rear. Its tank envisages good stages, with 20 liters of capacity.
