MV Agusta in the 2020 model year
A2 models now also in the portfolio
MV Agusta is expanding its model portfolio and will also be offering two A2-compatible motorcycles in 2020, which will still be available in a more powerfully motorized version.

The A2 version is new to the Germany program. How does a motorcycle that is so extremely designed for racing feel with 48 HP? With a full 128 hp output, the handy sports cannon with the ultra-short-stroke three-cylinder drives smoothly and very precisely. The chassis with Marzocchi fork and Sachs shock absorber is fully adjustable, the blipper ensures quick shifting without a clutch, and the electronics package helps with ground control. The RC version with the racetrack kit is now only available for the F3 800.

Miracle after miracle: price reduction at MV. This applies to the new "Rosso" series, according to the manufacturer, which is the basic model, now painted red and from 11,990 euros. Instead of 140, it has 110 hp, but otherwise the same equipment as the other Brutale models with blipper, driving modes, lots of electronics – and is just as hard-hitting. The RR SCS (Smart Clutch System) version is new: unlike the Blipper, this automatic clutch also works in first gear. Tear open the gas and cut away!
MV Agusta Dragster 800 Rosso / RR / RC / SCS

The most popular MV Agusta will be available in 2020 in a confusing variety, namely in five variants. The new Rosso, painted in fire red and with 110 instead of the usual 140 dragster horses, serves as an entry into the glamorous world of dragsters. For MV standards, it is almost a bargain at just under 13,000 euros. More expensive is always possible: the top model RC SCS, equipped with carbon components and the automatic clutch SCS, costs almost 9,000 euros extra. After all, MV supplies a high-quality racing kit.

The chassis and equipment are identical to the F3 675, but the larger engine adds a lot of power: With 20 hp more, the light and compact F3 800 turns out to be a stormy sparring partner. It’s good that the geometry and set-up give it high steering precision and great handling. In addition to the special paintwork, the more expensive RC version comes with a racetrack kit that includes a titanium / carbon exhaust, a race mapping and Ergal components.
MV Agusta Superveloce 800

Presented as a concept at the end of 2018, the Superveloce is now in the starting blocks. It is based on the F3 800 and fascinates with an unusual design mix. It cleverly combines the round retro style of earlier racing machines with the latest components. LED technology is behind the headlights and taillights, it is switched via blipper, and there is a TFT display in the cockpit. A special mapping makes the three-cylinder more elastic, the seating position is more comfortable than on the F3 800. It should come in May.
MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 Rosso / Lusso / SCS / RC

Another price reduction: the previous basic model is now called Rosso and costs from 13,990 euros. Let’s see if that’s enough for the lively, comfortable and compact touring athlete to gain a foothold on the market. Everyone has a blipper on board, the Lusso version also has an electronic chassis, the Lusso SCS supplements the equipment with an automatic clutch and navigation system. Finally, the RC SCS has it all and also relies on racing paintwork and refined components.
MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR / Rush

That will annoy MV: Announced as the “strongest naked bike in the world”, the Brutale 1000 RR now has to share this title with Ducati’s 208 hp Streetfighter V4. Much more important, however, is that the manufacturer has enough financial strength again to put a new, powerful four-cylinder on the wheels, refined with electronic Ohlins chassis and carbon components. And apparently with enormous firepower – the colleagues from PS were impressed after a first short test. Market launch is early 2020. With the MV Agusta Rush 1000, another new model is in the starting blocks, which is based on the Brutale 1000 RR and was presented at the last EICMA in Milan.
MV Agusta in the 2020 model year – prices
Conclusion
At MV Agusta, the model strategy seems to be slowly but surely changing slightly. Although the Italians still offer a lot of spectacular models from the higher price segment, the Rosso models should attract new customers due to the lower entry price. In addition, the Italians recently confirmed that they will develop new models with smaller engines between 350 and 500 cm³.
