The colors of America to dress an Italian diva, herself torn between her Russian engagement and her past German romances … A true spy novel. Except that it only depicts an umpteenth special series reheated at MV-Agusta.

Between episcopal announcements and novelties at half mast, the manufacturer of Schiranna has done a lot in the demonstrative lately, on the form much more than the substance. He no longer even takes the trouble to create new special series but subtly embellishes the previous ones. The sparkle is there, with a gray plume of guesswork. The superb and tasty 800 Brutale RR comes out of a barely closed drawer decorated with America, with the scent of the country across the Atlantic. The eye is flattered by the same graphics of last year’s Brutale America (without the RR), previously used by the 2005 750 S, taken from the mirific dress of the 1975 S America 750..

Under Uncle Sam’s shawl, the mechanics have turned to spices. Here, we are entitled to 140 horsepower and a sleeker finish. In addition to the decoration, the 800 Brutale RR America makes the parade with a red stitched saddle, an ‘America Special Edition’ branding on the radiator scoops and a star-spangled banner with the world titles of MV-Agusta (counter still on the number 37).
On the technical side, we find the specificities of the 800 RR, served with enthusiasm, a 3-cylinder angry stuffed with electronics, a chassis sharing a steel trellis frame / aluminum plates, a 43 mm Marzocchi inverted fork and a Sachs shock absorber ( adjustable everywhere), a single-sided, beautiful Brembo brakes, a unique triple tailpipe and an intoxicating character.
The dish is beautiful, the dish tasty, but obviously without a great effort of creativity.
