MV-Agusta F3 800 AGO 2015

Some destinies are linked; some legends shine next to each other, like twin stars. This is the case for MV-Agusta and Giacomo Agostini. The latter has won a number of victories on the handlebars of Varese’s productions, and MV does not miss an opportunity to recall it.. As is the case with this F3 800 AGO special series. Barded with an imposing Italian color, the sportswoman gains even more brilliance.

Beautiful ? No, superb! The red-white-green color adorned with some golden scents suits him perfectly. It reminds us of the Tricolore edition of 1098. MV-Agusta also lingered on a few pieces to excite the senses. How will you taste its aluminum footrests cut in the mass, its carbon mudguards, and its delicate forged rims allowing a weight gain of 2 kilos?!? For the fan, one element matters even more: the recognition of Giacomo himself. Indeed, the tank is signed Agostini, overhanging a reminder of his 15 world titles (13 obtained with the Meccanica Verghera). And like any machine of pedigree and nobility, this race sportswoman will only be produced in limited numbers. 300 copies in all, each bearing an engraved numbered plate on the upper triple clamp, and supplied with an approval certificate.

On the mechanical and technical side, this F3 800 is identical to the standard. The 3-cylinder block spits no less than 148 horsepower. Plentiful when it comes to carrying only 173 kilograms dry. We find the excellent and rigid steel trellis frame bolted to aluminum plates, a 43 mm Marzocchi inverted fork and fully adjustable Sachs shock absorber, large brembo with 320 mm discs married to monobloc 4-piston calipers to the ‘front and a 220 mm plus 2 piston caliper at the rear, a Bosch 9MP sport ABS, a shifter, and the magic of the 3 exhaust flutes. Active assistance is entrusted to the MVICS platform, with 8-level anti-skating, ride-by-wire handle, 4 engine maps including a fully customizable mode; on the AGO, the settings are more extensive, with for example the possibility of adjusting the ratio between the rotation of the throttle grip and the opening of the throttle.
This special and limited edition allows you to afford a beautiful and very sporty jewel, and to console those who could not get an F3 675 ORO or an F4 1000 Ago. Problem, the price climbs well beyond the 20,000 euros mark.
