This fall in France with DCT and ABS as standard
Developed in a very similar spirit, the CTX700 (faired) and CTX700N (naked) owe their name to the brand new Honda concept: the "Comfort Touring eXperience". And to complete this experience, Honda France has chosen to equip the CTXs with the famous in-house double clutch as standard..
"Since its appearance in May 2010 on the, Honda DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) technology has claimed more and more followers," said the Reds. "In Europe, more than 12,500 Honda customers have chosen their motorcycle with the DCT option".
This enthusiasm is also: Honda France reports that in the space of a year (between February 2012 and February 2013), "the percentages of the DCT versions of the NC700X and the Crosstourer have respectively increased from 10 to 44% and from 25 to 70% ".
Billed 1000 € and weighing down the motorcycle by an additional 10 kg, the DCT option however struggles to impose itself on the NC700S roadster (about 5% of sales for this entry-level). Installed automatically on the CTX700 and CTX700N models – ditto for ABS – it is a safe bet that future buyers will readily adopt it: in any case, Honda France is betting on it. Business to follow: stay engaged !
