"Finding the right engine was crucial for such an ambitious project", explains Husqvarana, which has chosen the parallel twin of the BMW F800R as its starting point, increasing it to 900 cc to give the Nuda "a more aggressive character". Several engine components have also been revised to "improve the power and torque curves". The Nuda 900 R will deliver "more than 100 horsepower" in the free world, while remaining "very easy to use thanks to its lightness and its linear character", assures the manufacturer.

The Nuda 900R, powered by a twin-cylinder of 900 cm3, is located in the segment of the "Fun Bike for weekend pleasure, commuting and fun", summarizes Royal Moto France, which becomes Husqvarna importer in France from July 16 (read).

Why a Husqvarna road motorcycle? "In reality, there was a long tradition of road motorcycles at Husqvarna before the development of the all-terrain", relativizes the manufacturer, estimating that "the step taken by the brand is therefore not as important as it is. appears ".

Blending briskly the characteristics of the mid-size roadster, road trail and hypermotard, it should therefore be aimed not only at bikers looking for a Supermot type motorcycle ‘made for fun (like the 511SMR Husqvarna), but also to all those who make their daily professional journey on the handlebars of a two-wheeler.

While waiting for its test on Site, know that the Nuda900R will be presented in Milan then in Paris. It will display 175 kg dry on the scale and should have an hourglass figure: certain elements of its chassis are reminiscent of the Mille 3n concept presented last year by Husqvrana in Milan (read). As for the suspensions, the Nuda900R will be equipped with a Sachs fork and an Ohlins shock absorber both fully adjustable, Brembo Racing brakes and several carbon fiber elements..

The Nuda 900R will be available "in autumn 2011" in the current Husqvarna network, at future Husqvarna dealers "who will apply for the entire range", and finally at BMW Motorrad dealers who will be interested "in the fun side of the brand ".
