The chassis relies on conservative elements: a drawn single-sided swing arm springs at the front, while a drive unit swing arm with strut provides comfort at the rear. The suspension elements are slightly dampened for the powerful engine, and the handling with the ten-inch tires is quite wobbly.

The Vespa from Piaggio is one of the classics among scooters. Half a century ago the first wasps rolled over the asphalt, for its 50th birthday the Italian manufacturer served the Vespa ET 4, which combines the classic with the modern. It has the typical Vespa body made of pressed steel, only the inner lining of the leg shield, front wheel fenders and running board are made of plastic. On the other hand, the new one dispenses with the classic twist grip shift in favor of a stepless automatic belt mechanism. Due to the ten inch small wheels, the ET 4 is a bit wobbly, but extremely handy. The comfortably tuned chassis harmonizes perfectly with the good performance of the four-stroke engine. And despite the graceful appearance, the wide bench and long running board offer enough space.
