Third trick for Viñales?
Maverick Viñales easily won the first two races of the new MotoGP season. Can he do that in the third race in Austin? And how do the German drivers fare in MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3?

The MotoGP has started in Austin since the 2013 season. And since 2013 there has only been one winner: Marc Márquez. The reigning world champion has won every race in Texas since joining MotoGP. Again this year, victory in Austin should only go to the three-time MotoGP champion. With Maverick Viñales, however, Márquez has a strong competitor this year who has had an impressive start to the season with two wins. The signs for an exciting race are promising. The German MotoGP rookie Jonas Folger, who got off to a good start to the new season, landed a strong fifth place in Moto2 in Austin last year. Accordingly, Folger is heading into the race weekend at the Circuit of the Americas with confidence.
New chance for the German drivers in Moto2 and Moto3
After Sandro Cortese and Marcel Schrotter scored the first points of the season in Moto2 and Philipp Ottl in Moto3 in Argentina, the German drivers in Austin are hoping to score the next points. Last year, Cortese and Schrotter already landed in the points. Philipp Ottl even took an excellent fourth place in 2016 and narrowly missed the podium. The route in Austin seems to suit the German pilots.
There is bad news for all MotoGP fans who were looking forward to broadcasting the races on FreeTV. As in Argentina, the Austin sessions will not be broadcast on Eurosport1. The sessions can be watched live on Eurosport2 and with the MotoGP Season Pass. Finally, some good news: the European kick-off in Jerez in two weeks will be broadcast on FreeTV on Eurosport1.
