Because everyone who is looking for a BMW S 1000 RR of the newer years of construction from 2012 onwards encounter the same problem: Both on the privately used market and directly from the dealer, the Bavarian hunter is hardly sold below a certain base price due to its immense popularity. 1500 euros up or down are then dependent on the total number of kilometers. This should hardly surprise anyone, because even in the new registration statistics, no super athlete writes better numbers than the S 1000 RR. “The S model is even better with us than the normal,” says traditional dealer Denis Hertrampf from Nordhorn. “Discounts can actually only be given at the end of the year, if something is left of a sum X of motorcycles. Most of the time we equip the vehicle with special accessories, make it visually more attractive and thus increase the value. ”DSB Berlin also reports strong interest in the Ducati 1299 Panigale and Ducati 1299 Panigale S. It could even be that they revamp the Fireblade one more time until the new super sports car finally arrives. If you are looking for a really cheap Honda Fireblade SC59 (offered since 2008), you will most likely find it on the large used market. The range is opulent in the price region from 7,000 euros. When the Kawasaki ZX-10R was the first to take on the Bavarian market in 2011, great promise was made. The brand newcomers in particular had high hopes for the new figurehead, but sales fluctuated. In the same year as in the following year, delivery was partially stopped due to problems with the valve train. In 2013 you could suddenly buy a brand new ZX-10R for 13,900 euros. Karsten Bartschat from BikeShop Luchow knows the reason as a Kawa dealer: “At that time too many machines were pumped into the market, which resulted in these special prices.

This state of affairs is over, however, because already in 2014 the market calmed down through a sensible sales policy on the part of Kawasaki, and by the end of the year almost all machines were sold. In other words: A 2015 ZX-10R with zero kilometers is currently hardly available at such conditions . Nevertheless, the new Kawasaki ZX-10R will in all likelihood be so much better that especially the few older demonstrators have to get out at the cheap course. Nevertheless, there is a lower limit. “We still have a well-groomed demonstrator standing here with a mileage of 2000 kilometers. With a little luck, the motorcycle will go out for 12,900 euros. Ultimately, after viewing a few specimens that interested parties can only get hold of with luck and negotiating skills at an attractive price, one stumbles across a really decent truffle – namely the good old Suzuki GSX-R 1000. Not least because of the upcoming model change, there are the kilograms Gixxer at a budget price. If you invest a little time in the search, you will find dealers who still have brand new GSX-R 1000 from 2014 around. Most of the time it’s about one last machine, and you can sometimes take it with you for ten grand. These are German models, often with daytime registration. 2015 models go for just under 11,000 euros, with ABS versions you pay a small amount on top.

If you are interested, you should be quick now, because there are very few remaining stocks. On top of that, Suzuki is currently offering 1.99 percent financing, which some dealers also give on these bikes with a hammer price. Anyone who decides on such a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 can, for example, invest one or two saved euros in optimizing the technology. At this year’s PS Tuner GP at the Sachsenring, the Kilo-Gixxer from Klaus Bretter (www.bretterszweiradshop.de) proved that it may be considered old-fashioned in terms of construction. But just to the fast old irons with stable technology and high reliability.

Until September of this year, only the BMW S 1000 RR sold better than the R1 in this segment. Regarding the price: Stefan Wahl from Motocorner says that he actually expected an even stronger demand. They are still sold out for him this year. If you order from Motocorner for 2016 now, you can definitely count on a good offer. Dominik Klein (Motorrad Klein) also reports that sales of the R1 were much better than, for example, of the Aprilia RSV4 RR. He also has a decent price for a new machine.

The real tip, however, is based on the following information: In the second half of the season of this year, Yamaha tried to stimulate the market with an additional wash of demonstrators. This Yamaha YZF-R1 with low mileage can be obtained for around 16,000 euros, sometimes even a little cheaper. Most retailers would also grant a small discount when ordering an anniversary edition – but nothing works with the noble “M”. The remaining offers for most of the new predecessor models RN22 are comparatively unattractive. The relationship between age and price is only correct again with older specimens.
