Tramontana – after a Spanish mountain wind, the brothers David and Felipe Lopez christened their rally-ready conversions of a Triumph Tiger 800 XC.

D.he two Spaniards work as engineers and test drivers for Triumph in chassis development and are therefore not only ideally connected to the British manufacturer. Accordingly, an official Triumph website is also presenting the conversion on the Internet. A company spokesman ruled out that the two examples could become a rally racer offered by Triumph in small series.

In detail, the two Spaniards have made the entire Tiger chassis suitable for rallies with other suspension elements with significantly longer suspension travel, Excel rims and other brakes. In the front, the massive double headlights gave way to lighter lights. The rear has been shortened, trim parts have been adapted and the silencer replaced. It is not known whether the three-cylinder got more than the standard 95 hp through other tuning.

There is also no information on the weight of the rally conversion. The Triumph Tiger Tramontana experienced its baptism of fire at the end of September during the Panafrica Rally in Morocco, with only one of the two triumphs reaching the overall goal after five days of rallying.
