Due to leaking tanks and the risk of fire, both the Ducati Multistrada 1200 and the new Ducati Multistrada 950 have to be returned to the workshop.

Because of an apparently insufficient seal on the screw connection of the level probe inside the tank, certain models of the Ducati Multistrada 950 and Ducati Multistrada 1200 gasoline leak. If this then drips onto hot engine parts, there is a considerable risk of fire, warns an EU consumer information service.
Therefore now 1,667 Ducati Multistrada 950 and Ducati Multistrada 1200 built in 2016 and 2017 back to dealers. This is also confirmed by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA). In Germany, 242 multistradas are affected by the recall.
The recalled Ducatis should get new tanks. The owners are currently being informed in writing by the KBA about the ongoing recall. Ducati owners who are unsure whether their model is also affected should contact a dealer as soon as possible. A German service website that provides information on ongoing recalls by means of a chassis number query Ducati not yet.
