Rallye des Garrigues: Toniutti already in tune !
Let’s go for the French rally championship 2014! Despite strong Corsican resistance and in difficult conditions, Julien Toniutti reiterates his 2013 victory, thus offering his first victory to his new Yamaha MT-09. Story.
The Garrigues 2014 route
The DRAC Moto Club was confronted with some problems to trace the course of this fourth edition: a few days before the elections, some town halls betting more on the vote of potential dissatisfied residents than on motorcycle enthusiasts, quite simply refused the passage. of the Garrigues rally in their town…
We must therefore congratulate the organizers for their last-minute readjustment of the route: that of this 2014 edition was rather nice. !
The day stage is planned in three loops. The first northern loop is around 100 kilometers long and goes through Pic St Loup. It must be done a first time with a passage in the special of Murles and a passage in that of Murviel les Montpellier, and a second time with, again, a passage in each of these two specials.
A second northern loop of around forty kilometers follows, with a passage in the Murviel les Montpellier special. Then a southern loop of about sixty kilometers descends to the beaches near Sète, with a passage in the Laverune special.
This Laverune stage, located at the exit of the village, is an excellent idea on the part of the organizers: it indeed allows the spectators placed at the start to also enjoy the spectacle of the competitors in action … An idea to remember when it is is achievable, future organizers !
During the night stage, only two specials are scheduled: Murles and Murviel les Montpellier, on the large northern loop of 100 kilometers…
