Wilfried Cally was killed at the Rallye des Volcans

Wilfried Cally, 35, was killed yesterday during the reconnaissance of the 2nd Rallye des Volcans, final round of the French Rally Championship which takes place this weekend in Saint-Ours-les-Roches, in the Puy-de- Dome (63).

According to our information, Wildried left the road in the very last corner of special n ° 1, while he was making his reconnaissance. He slipped violently into a tree and died instantly. 

For the race, the special in question will therefore be shortened by around 200 meters to prevent the pilots from taking the last section which was fatal for Wilfried, a discreet and sympathetic pilot who was riding a Honda 450 CRF..

Wilfried’s funeral ceremony will take place on Tuesday 1 September at 2:30 p.m. in the church of Oulchy-la-Ville (02).
