Overall, road fatalities increased by + 4.6% over the first eight months of 2015, an increase that the government considers to be the "consequence of a continuous relaxation of behavior on the road".

The Ministry of the Interior takes as proof of this the record of offenses noted by the police in 2014, which notably shows an increase of "20%" in the number of offenses at the speed recorded by radar. automatic and the increase of "1%" of the average speeds observed outside urban areas.
