Suzuki GSF 650 Bandit N and S 2008

The end of an era … The first “low-cost” motorcycle, a simple roadster, sufficiently powerful and with an unbeatable quality / price / performance ratio, is transformed for 2007. Suzuki keeps the same recipe for a super accessible motorcycle by modifying especially the heart of the Bandit – finished the old mill cooled by air and oil. Like its big sister (unless it is the other way around), the GSF trades its old mill for modern, clean, more powerful, injected, and above all, liquid-cooled mechanics..

The old Bandit 650 could not pass Euro 3. And Suz could not do without the most important model in its range (with the GSX-R) which still holds the high sugar on the market. With this new block, Hammamatsu’s flagship roadster sets off again for a long period of serenity. Brand new, compact, using the same race / bore dimensions of the 650 carburetor, the 4-cylinder gains 7 horsepower (or 85 now) in power while keeping check on pollution level. With injection, combustion will be better controlled, especially when cold; while the Pulsed-air system will take care of unburned gases. Finally, the catalyzed exhaust will finish cleaning up the expiration of the propellant. You will have to be wary of this new exhaust (apparently the same as that of the Bandit 1250) when sneaking around town, given its imposing size..
With a red zone at 12,500 rpm, 36 mm injection bodies and straightened intake ducts equipped with double butterflies, the mechanics benefit from a nice technological transfer, a guarantee of services revised considerably upwards. Suzuki announces without batting an eyelid more breath, pleasure and ease. What should make it possible not to feel the good ten kilos taken by the Bandit 2007.

Since most of the modifications have been made to the engine, the price of the 2007 Bandit should not undergo a dizzying increase. Chassis and comfort not being obsolete, the GSF 650 evolves only on points of details (such as the color of the indicator caps) and preserves the assets of choice, such as the height of the saddle and adjustable handlebars. In addition, it remains widely displayed under 6,000 euros for the naked model, and barely over 6,200 € for the S version with ABS. The Bandit has not finished vandalizing the competition.
