In the colors of champions
Suzuki remembers its world champions and issues the GSX-R 1000 R as a Legend Edition. Seven versions are available, but only in Italy.

Suzuki is economical with real new models. Also in the year of the company’s 100th anniversary. The national importers try again and again to set impulses with special special models. Suzuki Italy is still making extremely tasty versions of the Suzuki right before Christmas GSX-R 1000 R out.
Drive like the world champions
In the so-called Legend Edition, drivers are honored who have won world championship titles on Suzuki in the premier class. A total of seven versions are available. Barry Sheene, Marco Lucchinelli, Franco Uncini, Kevin Schwantz, Kenny Roberts Jr. and the current MotoGP world champion Joan Mir will be honored. The Briton Barry Sheene is represented twice according to his titles from 1976 and 1977. Lucchinelli won 1981, Uncini 1982, Schwantz in 1993, Roberts Jr. won in 2000 and Mir in 2020.
Suzuki
The special equipment includes a design adapted to the look of the world champion machine and an Akrapovic carbon rear silencer. The prices for the superbikes from the Legend Edition start at 22,500 euros.
All versions are only available in a limited edition. Prospective buyers can reserve their desired design on the Suzuki Italy website. A deposit of 500 euros is required.
Conclusion
It’s nice that at least some national importers at Suzuki are trying to put together delicious new models for customers. One would have wished for the Legend Edition from Suzuki as a work for all markets.
