Suzuki 600 GSX-R 2005

Menus

Last 600 evolved at the end of the year, the GSX-R is a clone of the 750. The frame is identical, the engine very similar (in reduction), the physics almost the same, and it displays practically the same dimensions. We grabbed weight all over the place; especially on crankcases, injection, and exhaust. The valves are now made of titanium and lose 92 g. Just the work on the injection and the silencer made it possible to steal more than 1 kg. The little one of the family is once again the lightest sports car, tied with the Kawa ZX-6RR, claiming 161 kg. The engine benefits from the same modifications as the 750 in order to output 120 hp. On the chassis side, we have improved everything that could be improved: reinforced swingarm, inverted fork, front brake master cylinder piston and radial-mounted calipers. Frame and swingarm painted black for the MotoGP side and vas -y that I line up on the starting grid without any apprehension. The hunt for weight in every nook and cranny of the engine is clearly sensitive: the revs seem more vigorous. Reached 9000 revs, the mill furiously sends its 120 nags. The bike is as agile and precise as the previous version with a bonus for the suspensions. These react much better on the track. Combined with a driving position much less extreme than the competition, the GSX-R combines decent daily use and time-saving. If it retains the (relative) versatility of the old, it also perpetuates the tradition of a certain lack of bite when braking. But if you insist a little, you find a power and consistency worthy of a supersport. Add to that a complete dashboard with shiflight, a little bit of trunk space and you have the most user-friendly 600 supersport on the market. Some small finishing details remain to be refined but the quality of the equipment makes them easily forgotten.
