No big changes in 2014 for the Suzuki RM-Z 250 but all the same some evolutions – Enough to wait until the 2015 model which should move quite a bit. Attractive, slim, with a sharp design, the “yellow cross” approaches the perfect compromise for all pilots.

New features :

1. ECM ignition schedule modified to improve starting.

2. New, more aggressive two-tone graphics of the radiator vents and yellow number plate that refines its look.

3. New suspension settings.

Main characteristics :

1. The 249 cc, 4-stroke injection, dual ACT, injection engine, designed for compactness and lightness, makes the RM-Z 250 ready to win championships..

2. Thanks to the experience of factory machines engaged in Grand Prix, the piston, its axis and the connecting rod are developed with the use of the Finite Element Method (FEM).

3. The advanced fuel injection system uses a 44mm injector body with progressive throttle opening control and a 16-bit ECU.

4. The fuel injection system uses a unique capacitor assisted starting system and is powered after starting, by a robust and lightweight charging system..

5. The electrochemically treated aluminum cylinder (SCEM) is designed for durability and lightness and to optimize heat transfer.

6. Changing transmission ratios provide increased smoothness when changing gears. The arrangement of the gears makes shifting faster and more precise.

7. The Showa split function fork (SFF type 2) divides the functions on each fork leg. The right side consists of two springs, while the left arm integrates the cartridge in order to better control the hydraulics. The result is reduced friction, improved absorption and weight gain.

8. The fork is fully adjustable, in compression, preload and rebound, which allows extensive adjustment possibilities.

9. Chassis design includes smart details like shaped footplates that prevent mud build-up.

10. Excel aluminum rims as well as racing-inspired brake discs are fitted as standard.

11. The large diameter Renthal Fatbar handlebars are fitted as standard. More rigid, it transmits less vibrations than straight aluminum handlebars.

12. More eye-catching, the two-tone saddle cover, adorned with cross-shaped reliefs on its upper surface, provides additional grip.

13. Two sheets allowing the adjustment of the injection according to the terrain and the weather are included. One enriches while the other impoverishes the air / fuel mixture. They are in addition to the standard plug mounted on the motorcycle. The pilot can quickly change the sheets in order to quickly adapt to the conditions for a piloting
optimum.

14. A service cap for the fuel pump and a fuel hose cap are provided for ease of service when the customer removes the fuel tank. These protections prevent the introduction of debris into the circuit.

15. The exhaust silencer uses conventional screws instead of rivets for an easy and quick change of the fiber for the silencer..

16. The FI Indicator (optional accessory: 36380-28H00) has the function of an hour counter, to indicate the operating time.
