When the wave of neo-retro, Trendy machines and “Wheel & Waves” power took hold of the motorcycle sector, Suzuki did not rush. Cautious, he delegated to his mutinous roadster the mission of surfing the waterspout. When he pledged to satisfy, the SV 650 “Scrambler” style claimed to open certain roads not very suitable for vehicles, so that this machine could soak its gums..
In this version 2.0, the bike has swapped certain elements in order to refine its identity. Suz thus turned the turn signals to LEDS, the pierced cover overhanging the exhaust and the minimalist license plate holder. For additions, it leans much more on the other side of the scale. With the SW-Motech handguard graft as well as a duo of flexible side bags with their quick fixing systems (without tools) on their fixed supports – they have waterproof protective covers. It’s not quite what it takes to frolic in the middle of clods of earth, but this second-generation SV Scrambler really looks better than the first. The name cannot however forgive the absence of a raised pot, spoked rims, work on the suspensions, and some weeds torn here and there. The price would have cost a much drier slap…
In all, the Scrambler pack contains a fairly extensive list:
– a double tone Bagster saddle
– Dunlop Mutant tires
– a set of large diameter matt black saddles + handlebars
– an aluminum screen
– a headlight protection grid
– aluminum radiator scoops
– a minimalist aluminum front fender
– aluminum chain protection
– enduro footrests with removable rubber
– a perforated gearbox output gear housing
– a set of hand guards
– two soft suitcases
– luggage racks
Here is something to show off a little. On a daily basis, this imitation scrambler will allow its owner to benefit from the joviality of the twin, the ease of driving and the good humor of this machine. Expressive work can create a sensation in front of the audience while limiting itself to the illusion of more conquering trails. As long as there is dirt and dust, it can pass – the limit will not come from the tires, effective in escapades off asphalt, but from the design of the bike itself, not really suitable. Remember this Scrambler is first and foremost an SV with cobblestone tires.
