Outlined at the 2015 Paris Motorcycle Show, the Scrambler version of the Suzuki SV 650 got the green light to go trudging on our roads. The manufacturer had announced that the roadster would not remain alone for long and would be entitled to variations. And a Scrambler is all the rage. Does this one go completely into the concept, with the paths and the clods of earth as companions? ?
Not exactly … Very little in fact. We are closer to the exercise of customization than to an adaptation. Scrambler. With such a word in your mouth, that you chew with a hint of English taste, you expected a spiky pot, spoked rims, work on the suspensions, a few weeds pulled up here and there. The Suzuki doesn’t care.
To create this limited edition of 120 copies, a whole set of accessories is placed on an SV 650 matt black version. Style, especially style; this is where he is coming from. Thus, the roadster arouses more curiosity than the standard model. A dozen elements contribute to this:
– a brown Bagster saddle with stitching
– Dunlop Mutant tires
– a set of LSL large diameter matt black saddles + handlebars
– an aluminum screen
– headlight protection
– aluminum radiator scoops
– a minimalist aluminum front fender
– LED indicators
– black aluminum bar ends
– aluminum chain protection
– black enduro footrests
– a perforated gearbox output gear housing
Here is something to show off a little. On a daily basis, this imitation scrambler will share with its owner the joviality of the twin, the ease of driving and the good humor of this machine. The expressive work is far from being as thorough as on an XSR 700, but we welcome the fact that Suzuki is finally coming out of its torpor in a very lively segment at the moment.
