Like many other smart helmet concepts, the Tali Connected also offers the usual networking features. A smartphone can be integrated into the helmet system via Bluetooth and networked with a special app for iOs and Android. All functions can be controlled by voice command.

Applications such as making calls, listening to music, communicating or navigating are supported, and the helmet can also be located in the event that it is stolen. Warnings are also recorded via the app and passed on to the driver. In the event of an accident, the helmet also sends an emergency call.

With additional indicators and brake light

In addition, the Tail Connected uses a special lighting system. LED lights on the front of the helmet should ensure better visibility in the dark. LED light elements installed on the sides are networked with the vehicle indicators and thus act as exposed additional indicators. The lighting concept is rounded off by an additional brake light on the rear of the helmet, which is also networked with the on-board system. The helmet equipment is rounded off by an electrochromatic, self-tinting visor.

Tali has been developing its smart helmet for three years now, and the one with the DOT and Snell test standard is expected to be on the market before the end of 2020. Before that, however, capital will first be collected via crowdfunding in order to get the Tali Connected ready for production. The targeted sales price should be around 1,100 euros.
