We present you the ten most popular Yamaha models from 2010 to 2019 in Germany.

Something had to be done: From 2009 to 2013, Yamaha’s sales figures in Germany were in free fall. The trend reversal, the miracle, came as the three-cylinder MT-09 and in-line twin MT-07 in 2014. Their engines are still popular today in naked bikes and tracer all-rounders. Plus in the “Neo retro”-Bikes from the XSR siblings and in the innovative swivel tricycle Niken / GT. The Tenere 700 with MT-07 twin has been the beacon of hope since 2019. A real family bond. However, the sudden slump from 2016 to 2017 (minus 24 percent!) Showed the downside of basically only relying on two successful engines – despite good sales of 125 cc.

One more word about the XT 1200 Z Super Tenere travel enduro: with 2,065 units in ten years Yamaha unlikely to be satisfied. BMW will sell that from the big GS in around four months! The top touring bike, the FJR 1300, which has set standards since 2001, also recently lagged behind its success and fell out of the range without replacement.

The 115 hp 847 cubic trident has plenty of character: easy to turn, elastic, powerful sound. Thanks to updates to the equipment and chassis, the great triple now sits in a worthy setting.

Agile and powerful 600cc four-cylinder have a tradition at Yamaha, such as the Fazer 600. In the form of the XJ6 with low insurance 78 hp, this concept celebrated great success – crowned, naked as wrapped up.
