Travels - Confined with ... Pierre Longnus, author of a guide on motorcycle rides -

What are the main players in the motorcycle world doing during the lockdown linked to the Covid-19 pandemic? Pierre Longnus, journalist and photographer author of a guide on Europe on motorcycles, confided in the Journal moto du Net.

MNC: Where are you confined ?

Pierre Longnus : I am confined in the company of my wife and my 16-year-old son in Bulle, a small Swiss town capital of Gruyère, a region famous for its cheese (without holes, remember!)

MNC: How are your days going? ?

P. L. : In the morning I exercise (elliptical, exercise bike, dumbbells and floor exercises). Then I settle into the computer. I participate in the writing of a book on the most beautiful hikes in Europe, I write articles and I "develop" photos for the agency with which I collaborate.

MNC: What do you miss the most ?

P. L. : Riding a motorcycle! And what I miss the least is driving a car …

MNC: Are you afraid ?

P. L. : No, I trust the scientific community.

MNC: A book, a film, a series, a record to recommend ?

P. L. : I can recommend the book to which I have contributed extensively, Editions Ulysse. A film: "Vanishing Point" ("Point Limite Zero" in French). Granted, this is a car movie, but that’s not all. I was marked by the intransigence of the character, Kowalsky, whose personal ethic pushes him to see it through. But also for an unforgettable motorcycle scene … And a series: "Black Mirror", on Netflix. A satirical study of the influence of screens on our lives. It’s cruel and fierce !

MNC: Your Favorite Motorcycle Video ?

P. L. : Thierry Cazenabe’s exceptional documentary, "Voxan, a disappointed hope".

MNC: The first thing you will do at the end of the lockdown ?

P. L. : I will jump on one of my motorcycles and do my favorite big Swiss loop (Grand Grimsel pass, Susten and Furka pass) !
