Best time at the end of the first night, Davide Giugliano confirmed this evening, signing the last Superpole of the 2014 WSBK season. The Italian posts his Ducati ahead of the Kawasaki de Baz and Sykes. Guintoli qualifies 5th.

The first to unpin the soft tire, "Bazooka" was at the top of the timesheet for SP2 – the final phase of the Superpole – one minute from the end of the session. But the time of the "Green Giant" unfortunately did not last until the end. !

Absent from the second test session (FP2 or Free Practice Two) due to a technical problem, Davide Giugliano was despite this the fastest driver yesterday. But the Roman n ° 34 did it again this evening, completing the 5.38 km of the Qatari circuit in 1 ‘57.033.

The only rider to have descended under the mark registered in 2009 by Ben Spies Himself, the Ducati rider did not give up when he had to cross the light cloud of sand raised by the Honda n ° 65, Rea having just lost the front of his Fireblade in a fast right…

Tom Sykes, who is playing his second world title this weekend, had to be more careful when another British rider fell in front of him: Alex Lowes in the No.22 Suzuki. Embarrassed by the dust, the "Number One" would have preferred to make the gas imperceptibly…

Tom still ranks third in SP2, two tenths behind his teammate Baz, and takes the psychological advantage over his last rival in the championship: Sylvain Guintoli, fifth fastest time of the evening. The Frenchie at n ° 50 will set up his Aprilia between Chaz Davies’ second official Panigale and Leon Haslam’s CBR1000RR.

Best time in FP1 and FP4, Jonathan Rea (Honda Pata) did not have time to finish his last lap and has to settle for 7th place. For his part, the last rider in the Superbike "category" at the end of FP3 – excluding EBR, MV Agusta and BMW Toth … -, Marco Melandri had to go through the repechage (SP1) and finally won a disappointing 8th place.

Fast during the first two practice sessions but deprived of the third, Eugene Laverty will not be more satisfied with his 9th place on the grid. The Irishman and his GSX-R1000 are 22 thousandths off Marco’s stopwatch … and 1.346 seconds from pole position !

Tenth in SP2, Toni Elias will place his private Aprilia (Red Devils Roma) ahead of Alex Lowes’ Suzuki (Voltcom Crescent) and the first machine in the "Evo" category: the official Kawasaki of David Salom. The Spanish rider had skillfully lodged himself in Melandri’s wheel in SP1 to climb into SP2. Will he manage to keep pace with the SBK to secure the Evo title in the race? ?

Third fastest time in SP1, Sylvain Barrier did not have the opportunity to complete his last lap because of a huge highside. Our dear # 52 managed to get off the track on his feet. Its S1000RR Evo on the other hand no longer had the rims round enough to reach the pits on its own wheels….

Behind the BMW Italia rider is Niccolo Canepa on the Panigale Evo prepared by Althea Ducati (which will field two motorcycles in 2015, Terol and Baiocco being responsible for leading them to the forefront!). Alessandro Andreozzi (Kawasaki Pedercini) will complete the 5th row.

Alexander Cudlin replaces the still injured Luca Scassa on Team Pedercini’s second Ninja Evo. The Australian (quadruple Superbike champion of Qatar!) Will start at the head of the 6th row, ahead of two other Kawa ‘: the n ° 67 of Brian Staring (Iron Brain Griliini) and the n ° 11 of our compatriot Jeremy Guarnoni (MRS).

Geoff May was taking part in his first Superpole this evening and was therefore able to test the Pirelli soft gums! The American n ° 99 of the EBR Hero team signs the 9th time of the SP1, synonymous with 19th place on the grid. Sheridan Morais (Iron Brain Grilini Kawsaaki) will start just behind.

Claudio Corti, the only MV Agusta driver on the grid (but the F4 should be two next season!), Had signed the 21st fastest time in the third test session on Friday evening and will therefore start from this same place in both races tomorrow evening..

The last line will be led Aaron Yates. The American will place the second 1190RX of the EBR Hero team ahead of the two “Hungarian” BMWs of Rizmayer and Toth. Start of the first round at 7 p.m. (French time): stay tuned !
