WSBK - The Return of Donington Park -

The 2007 season of the World Superbike championship begins in a month in Qatar. The Australian event will then follow, followed by the European tour which this year is enriched by a stage: that of Donington Park. Request the program !

Most of the Superbike calendar remains identical to that of 2006 but with 13 events in all, the 2007 World Championship promises to be more busy than last year. On April 1, an additional event will take place on a circuit well known to MotoGP and former Superbike players: Donington Park !

The atypical route, which disappeared from the calendar in 2002, has therefore reappeared and will mark the first of three stops across the Channel at the SBK World Cup this year, the Brands Hatch and Silverstone races being kept..

This new destination will also make it possible to appreciate the evolution of motorcycle performance: Colin Edwards’ pole record (1 ‘32.559 on Honda SP1) dates from 2000 and Troy Corser’s fastest lap (1’ 33.470 on Ducati 916) dates back to … 1996 !

We also note that the second Italian event will no longer be contested in Imola but in Vallelunga. Perhaps special attention paid to Max Biaggi and his aficionados, because the track is located only a few kilometers from the Roman capital of which Max is an honorary citizen! So Max, veni, vidi … vici? Response to follow throughout the year on Site !
